What happens during a Nutrition Assessment and Follow Up Sessions?
Once the nutrition assessment is scheduled, you will either meet a Registered Dietitian in the San Diego office, meet the dietitian in your own home as a travel Nutrition Assessment which must be within a 30 miles radius of San Diego, or schedule a Nutrition Assessment and the session will be administered online or conference call. More information and details regarding scheduling a session via conference call or the online dietitian is located in the next paragraphs. Important to note that the Online Dietitian will be required to have a Nutrition Assessment and the Travel Nutrition Assessment are different sessions due to Registered Dietitian doing the session in your own home or practice location.
The first visit with the Registered Dietitian will take approximately one hour. After the first session, the RD will schedule follow-up appointments to check on your progress and see if changes are needed in your nutrition goals and treatment plan.
During the 1 hour nutritional Assessment with the Certified Dietitian Nutritionist, we will assess your nutritional needs through the nutritional care process. This includes components of anthropometric measurements, biochemical tests, clinical findings, dietary information, and environmental considerations are assessed to determine general and sports related nutrition status and to identify nutrition related concerns. Additionally, the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) will review what you eat and your eating habits, conduct a thorough review of your nutritional health, and develop a personalized nutrition treatment plan to meet 100% of your nutritional needs and meet your nutritional and human performance goals. Together with the RDN, you will set nutrition goals to improve your health, happiness, and oxygenated living.
Does the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist work online via email or phone conference?
Yes, I work with many clients throughout the United States, Canada, and other countries throughout the World. Many of my clients travel for performance and work or may live outside of San Diego whom need and are dedicated to my nutritional expertise. Our nutritional services are all administered via conference call, Skype, or Google face time to make sure individuals and teams are meeting 100% of their nutritional needs and goals. Environmental aspects and location of where you are located is a very important factor in dietetics and sports nutrition.
After you purchase and schedule the Nutrition Assessment that is always the first session provided by a nutritional expert in dietetics, you could also chose multiply sessions and packages that are all available on the online store. Find the package that best suits your needs or we can discuss in your nutritional assessment.
The online nutrition assessment must be scheduled online through the online store and the Nutritional assessment will be administered via conference call or Google Face time. All nutrition assessment and nutritional follow ups are scheduled for Pacific Standard Time, therefore please note the time difference based on your location. Once you purchase the Nutrition Assessment please send an email to Andrea@H2ONutrition.com to confirm with the dietitian that the session will be administered as an online session or conference call. I will respond to you within 2 business days confirming your request.

Does the Registered Dietitians offer Medical Nutrition Therapy and eligible for Insurance?
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Registered Dietitian (RD) serves as an integral part of the health care team by making individuals and community make changes for a healthy and happier life through medical nutrition therapy or diet therapy. Medical Nutrition therapy is covered by a variety of insurance plans and the nutritional services you receive maybe eligible for reimbursement. For example, medical nutrition therapy for certain medical conditions such as diabetes or kidney disease may make you eligible for at least 3 hours of medical nutritional therapy services in the first year of care and 2 hours each additional year.
Ask your doctor if a referral for medical nutrition therapy provided by a Registered Dietitian is right for you. With a physician referral, you can make an appointment to see the Dietitians at Online Sports Dietetics and make this new nutritional practice a lifestyle.
