What happens during a Nutrition Assessment and Follow Up Sessions?
Once the nutrition assessment is scheduled, you will meet a Registered Dietitian administered online called TeleNutrition via Zoom.
The first visit with the Registered Dietitian will take approximately one hour. After the first session, the RD will schedule follow-up appointments to check on your progress and see if changes are needed in your nutrition goals and treatment plan.
During the 1 hour nutritional Assessment with the Certified Dietitian Nutritionist, we will assess your nutritional needs through the nutritional care process. This includes components of anthropometric measurements, biochemical tests, clinical findings, dietary information, and environmental considerations are assessed to determine general and sports related nutrition status and to identify nutrition related concerns. Additionally, the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) will review what you eat and your eating habits, conduct a thorough review of your nutritional health, and develop a personalized nutrition treatment plan to meet 100% of your nutritional needs and meet your nutritional and human performance goals. Together with the RD, you will set nutrition goals to improve your health, happiness, and performance.
Does the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist work online via email or phone conference?
Yes, I work with many clients throughout the United States, Canada, and other countries throughout the World. Many of my clients travel for performance and work or may live outside of San Diego whom need and are dedicated to my nutritional expertise. Our nutritional services are all administered via conference call, Zoom, or Facetime to make sure individuals and teams are meeting 100% of their nutritional needs and goals. Environmental aspects and location of where you are located is a very important factor in dietetics and sports nutrition.

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Registered Dietitian (RD) serves as an integral part of the health care team by making individuals and community make changes for a healthy and happier life through medical nutrition therapy or diet therapy. Medical Nutrition therapy is covered by a variety of insurance plans and the nutritional services you receive maybe eligible for reimbursement. For example, medical nutrition therapy for certain medical conditions such as diabetes or kidney disease may make you eligible for at least 3 hours of medical nutritional therapy services in the first year of care and 2 hours each additional year.
